Well little peanuts it's been a busy week!
A few hi-lights..... Last Friday we went to go see Winnie the Pooh Movie with Grandma Charla for her birthday. Aunt Emily went with us too! Everyone did just great...even Kate enjoyed her first movie! at one point Kate, you actually looked like you were watching! We did a little photo shoot before the movie and the result is the pic above...by far, my favorite of our little setting. You all look angelic...not the case in the other like 30 pics we took - I really appreciate you boys cooperating for this...I realize it was near to like, giving blood for you, I promise to appreciate it every time I look at it for always!
On Wednesday we went bowling for "Donut Bowl" with the McClure boys. All four boys and Amy bowled some intense games while munching on donuts! So fun...Brock you were mega competitive, making painful faces every time Amy would get a spare...pretty funny! After that we all went to eat lunch together at Jason's Deli...that was a little crazy with four boys and and infant ( yes...that would be you miss Mary Kate!). Amy and I must have said about 400 time for "(fill in the name of a boy) to get your hand off of "(fill in the name of another boy)". Good times were had by all!The last part of the week, when we weren't at Mommy's new school getting ready for the school year, we tried a new little project...painting canvases for above the couch. You boys are just doing awesome with it! You sit and paint so quietly for about an hour each time. Each day we add more tape to cover up a little of that days painting. The next day we paint some more. At the end when we remove all the tape, there will be bits of each days painting peeking through.
And Baby Kate...oh my. You are waking up and coming alive this week! You are having so many "good" days with little fussing. Evenings are still a little sketchy at times, but overall, most of the time you are pretty happy. We joke you are either 0 or 60 in like 2.5 sec. One minute happy and all smiles and on a dime that little lips pouts out and look out! Bryce pretty much summed it up this week when he was holding you... You are getting to be such an excitable little chatterbox. You get crazy excited when you sit in your swing (not moving) and play/bat at the objects above. You also love to talk and bat at the animals on your tummy time mat that never gets used for tummy time - you hate it. We did try the Bumbo seat today in hopes that maybe that would count as tummy time...it went OK! You are loving being carried facing out this week, ready to see the world. And you are starting to put yourself to sleep in your pink chair all by yourself! Such a big accomplishment little girl! Still my favorite of all is snuggle time...when we get up in the morning after you eat, we lye in bed, if we are lucky enough that the boys are still asleep, and talk and watch the morning news. I will miss this little ritual to start my day next week when we go back to school, but we will still have Saturdays!"Mommy, have you noticed that when Brock and I hold Baby Kate she is happy and when you and Daddy hold her she cries? I think she likes us better".
Bryce - your are just pretty much hilarious or exhausting right now. Everyone holds their breath that you don't deck someone at preschool this year. I am sure there will be many a story at parent-teacher conferences....I am a little worried.
Brock - you are working soooo hard at pitching. You and Daddy practice every night and you are so positive and work so hard at it! I can't wait to watch you try out your new skills in games this fall!
Well little ones...it's very late and time for ME to go to bed. Sweet dreams. I love you to the moon and back!
